Hi Judy, I'm sorry you cannot drive on the beach. You can in Delaware as long as you have a permit. But in OC no you can't and you will be ticketed from the police if you do so. However there are certain areas of Assategue Island that you can drive on the beach.

No.  You are not permitted to drive on the beach anywhere in Ocean City, Md.  Some people have broken the law and done it, and paid the price.  But anywhere between the inlet and 146th St. is off limits.

No, you cannot drive a private vehicle anywhere on the beach in OC at any time unless you have a special permit or are registered as part of a special event that allows driving on the beach.

Vehicles are not allowed on the beach in Ocean City. The only time is during jeep week for a special jeep parade.

As my fellow Insiders stated, there is no beach access allowed for vehicles - except emergency vehicles.
