Is there anything to do in OC from Dec. 26 through New Year's Day? Are there any good hotels that run deals or are economically priced for that time of year?

I have often been in OC at that time of year, and there is plenty to do. You can go to Winterfest of Lights one night, and there are a bunch of New Year's Day activities. Take a look at the OCOcean events page for some events going on then or at this thread for more ideas of things to do.

You can get some great hotel deals at this time of year. Checkout the OCOcean accommodations page, which often lists great specials. I have often stayed at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront at 67th Street at this time of year and got a very reasonable rate. It is a nice hotel at a great midtown location.

Hotels are very well priced during that time of year - I would say downright cheap.  There are fun activities like the Winterfest of Lights, visiting Berlin, MD, going to the Salisbury Zoo, and hitting the outlets for amazing after Christmas sales.  There are also restaurant deals to be had all week.  Plus you can still walk the beach and Boardwalk.

Hey AS, Yes the Winterfest of Lights will be going all week at Northside Park. You would really love it I think. Many of the hotels do run different packages for the week into the New Year. I know Princess Royale does a package for the Christmas and New Year week. I'd check into them they are pretty good deals.
