If I'm a disabled veteran, and exempt from state property tax, I'm wondering what the rate is in Ocean City? Thank you!

In Ocean City property is subject to Maryland, Worcester County and Town of Ocean City property taxes. The current State of Maryland tax rate is $0.112 per $100 of assessed value. The current Worcester County tax rate is $0.835 per $100 of assessed value. The current tax rate for Ocean City is $0.4656 per $100 of assessed value. Find out more about these rates here.

However, fully disabled veterans can be exempt from all real property tax if they meet specific requirements. Take a look at this page for general information on Maryland's disabled veteran's exemption and information on how to find out more about how it applies in your specific case.

Darlene gave you a great place to start.  Property taxes are based on the assessed value of a property - these values change annually.  I have not heard of disabled veterans being exempt from State and local property taxes in Maryland.   Thank you for your service.
