Hello! I have two questions: 1) I am looking to book a hotel on the Boardwalk. I am hoping to find a place with a private balcony and a full size refrigerator. We looked at some condos, but those won't work because we have to book for a week at a time. We're looking for a short stay. 2) I'll be in OCMD June and July and was hoping your could provide me with a list of activities during this time. Thank you!

Here are some answers:

1. To stay on the boardwalk try any of the hotels listed below. I am almost certain all of these places have full sized refrigerators, but call ahead to check. Also, many of these hotels have multiple room configurations, so be sure to ask for an oceanfront room with a private balcony.:

The Commander - (410.289.6166) - Oceanfront on the boardwalk at 13th Street - I'm almost certain they have full size refrigerators in most of their rooms. Not all rooms meet all your requirements, so be sure to tell them what you want when you contact them. This hotel was fully renovated a few years ago.I've stayed there and it is very nice.

The Holiday Inn and Suites - (866.627.8483) - Oceanfront on the boardwalk at 17th Street - A very nice hotel with great pools.

Dunes Manor - (410.289.1100) - Oceanfront at 28th Street - This hotel is oceanfront and is actually one block north of the boardwalk. However, it is a great option that is one of my favorite properties and one I routinely recommend have my family stay at. Most if not all of its rooms ar oceanfront with balconies and full sized refrigerators.

2. To see all the activities going on in OC when you are there, take a look at the OCOcean events page. Updates for the next season are just starting to be added, so be sure to check it again in a few months.

Most boardwalk hotels offer rooms with their own balcony. Some rooms are considered ocean front or side view rooms. I would recommend the Tidelands, Comfort InnPark Place and the Commander as hotels to search rates.

My fellow Insiders gave you great information.  Mini-weeks can be a great option for condo rentals.  If you find a hotel with only a mini-fridge you can request a second refrigerator for your stay.  That may give you the space you need.  Hotels may have suites or junior suites that offer a more complete kitchen.

For a listing of events during your visit, go to http://www.ococean.com/events and check  your dates.

You can get a condo for a "mini week" rather than a full week if you would prefer a condo.

As for hotels, there are so many on the boardwalk.  We like the Holiday Inn Suites on 17th St, The Grand Hotel on 21st St. , and the Comfort Inn Boardwalk on 5th.  We've stayed at all of these and were happy. Another option (if it's just for adults) is the Inn on the Ocean Bed and Breakfast on 10th St. on the boards.  Beautiful B&B but it's adults only. Very private and quiet, and the owners provide gourmet breakfasts and also provide bicycles and beach chairs for their guests.

Not right on the boardwalk, but just one building back and with ocean views, is the Spinnaker on 18th St.  Very nice place and easier on the budget than most of the ocean front hotels.

Check out The Spinnaker... you'll find their accommodations modern with a full sized fridge, and each room has a private balcony!  https://thespinnakeroc.com/
