Hi Insiders! I'm planning on staying on 63rd street this summer. Is this walking distance from the boardwalk? If not, how long of a drive is it? Thanks!

You could also take the Beach Bus.  Catch it on Coast Highway.  It is a 15 minute ride to the Boardwalk.  And it is $3 for a day pass to ride.

I once walked on the beach from 94th Street to the boardwalk although I do not recommend it! Lol. It is a very short drive.

The boardwalk ends on 27th St, but that's not where all of the rides, etc are.  The rides and boardwalk attractions are all located below 1st St to the  inlet.  But there is a tram station at 27th St where you can board the tram and ride it for a fee.    Your best bet is to drive to the inlet, and park in the parking lot there.  Just follow the signs to the lot.  Or you can park close to whatever area of the boardwalk you want to experience and pay the meters.  There is also a public bus that you can ride for just $3 for a ride all day pass.  Very convenient.  63rd St. is a very nice area to enjoy.  You'll have a good time.

I often stay in this area. It is a great area of town, but it is not really walking distance to the boardwalk. From 63rd Street it is about 3 miles to the north end of the boardwalk and about 4.5 miles to the south end of the boardwalk.
