Hello. Are the boardwalk shops/restaurants and games open in spring? I am thinking of taking my daughter for a few days during her spring break (last weekend of March/1st of April.
There are some shops and restaurants open that weekend, and the arcade should be open. But there's more to OC than just the boardwalk. You can still play laser tag at Planet Maze, go ice skating indoors at the Carousel Hotel, play indoor mini-golf on 68th or 136th St., shop at the outlets in west OC, visit the Life Saving Station Museum and Ripley's Believe it or Not museum on the boardwalk, and so much more.
Plus that weekend is the Reach the Beach Cheer and Dance Competition at the Convention Center. It's free for spectators and hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Bring her! You'll both have a great time.

Try indoor mini golf if it's too chilly. Two Old Pro courses on on 68th St and another on 136th St. Also visit Assateague Island to see the famous ponies! The free Visitor Center is open everyday and it is fantastic!

Some shops, restuarants and games are open but definitely not all of them. There is lots to do anyway so bring her along and enjoy yourself!

I am not sure of the age of your daughter, but I have been bringing my daughter for an annual "girls weekend" ever since she was little. As she is 17, the one thing I have found to be true every year, is to never underestimate the simple... time together ....walk the beach...laugh ... take silly pictures of one another... cram into a photo booth on the boards... just relax, and enjoy the time together and do whatever! =)

During the week a few shops are open. On weekends, especially if it is sunny, some of the shops will be open. It is impossible to name the specific shops that will be open as most shops don't have fixed schedules. However, most weekends Marty's Playland, Thrashers, Dough Roller, Kite Loft, Ocean Gallery, Ripley's, a few Jewelery Stores, and some T-shirt shops seem to be open along the boardwalk. The town seems to start picking up again after St. Patrick's Day, so moe places will be open in late March than are open in February.

We come are coming to Ocean City for Spring Break this year. There are lots of entertainment options and 75% of the restaurants are open. For a tropical experience, go to Seacrets for lunch or dinner.
