But there are so many things open. The outlets are open during renovation, take a drive to Assateague, play mini golf or laser tag, or just check out all the little shops on the boardwalk.

There are no whale or dolphin excursions specifically in OC, but if you take a ride on either the OC Rocket or the Sea Rocket you will almost always see dolphins. The drivers slow the boats or stop them so people can snap pics of the dolphins at play.
For dinner theater, try the OC Jamboree in West Ocean City. They have different shows during the week and holidays, so you might want to check their schedule ahead of time at www.ocjam.com
You can also try the Globe Theater in nearby Berlin (about 20 minutes away) It's lovely.

Try dinner at the Angler Restaurant at 312 Talbot St. on the bay. They include an evening boat cruise with their dinners and it is very pleasant.
Enjoy your stay in OC!
You will see some businesses with reduced or limited operating hours after Labor Day, meaning they may only be open weekends or close earlier than during the summer or have reduced menus.
As for parasail and jet skis - weather permitting again. I suggest contacting your preferred location before your visit so you will know all the specifics (hours, prices, days, etc.) before you arrive and perhaps even schedule in advance.
Don't forget to check out Sunny Day Guide and the various websites for money saving coupons and specials.
Otherwise, great time to visit.

Plus Trimper's Indoor Rides will be open, as will the boardwalk arcades, mini-golf (indoor and/or outdoor depending upon weather), biking on the boards, kite flying, etc. Perhaps have a "seashell hunt" as a variation to an egg hunt.
You will have fun as will your children!

Here are some ideas from a post from my fellow Insider Darlene. These are all open for business this weekend:
play mini golf at two indoor locations on 68th and 136th St.
rent bicycles and ride on the boards. Try Dandy Don's on 2nd St.
go ice skating indoors at the Carousel Hotel
play laser tag at Planet Maze
drive go karts at Baja Amusements in West Ocean City
visit the Life Saving Station Museum on the boardwalk
take the historic Walking Tour of Ocean City. You'll find the brochures in your hotel lobby or at the visitor's center at the Convention Center
drive to Assateague and see the wild ponies there and visit the nature center on the way in
visit the commercial fishing district in West Ocean City
go bowling or see a movie
buy a kite or two and fly them on the beach
As for beaches and other activities, there is always something to do in OC! Spring is one of my favorite times to visit. Great time to have a seashell hunt, ride bikes on the board, shop in all the great stores, play mini golf or go bowling, and relax!
Trust me - you will enjoy your visit to OC in April! Don't forget to use the trip planner on www.ococean.com. It's a great tool.
