Hi Andrea,
I took my son out of school this past winter and we took him down to Assateague Island. They have a great education/nature center that my son absolutely loved. It is a wonderful educational opportunity. There is another museum at the inlet called the Ocean City Life Saving museum. It shows the history of OC, has an aquarium with local fish, crabs, and sea life, and other types of history and artifacts. Finally, go up to 123rd St and check out the Northside park, It has great walking trails and has a pier extending out to the bay. She may be able to find sea life on the small beach that is right before the pier.
It is supposed to be great weather so some of the school should include the art of sand castle building, and if you are staying at a hotel with an indoor pool, don't forget about PE (swimming).
Have fun!!!
