where can a dog swim on assateague?
From what I read, they are allowed on the national park part on the beach that is not gaurded. They are not permitted on trails. Nor are they permitted in the Maryland portion of park.

What are the rules regarding bike riding (and other modes of human-powered transportation) up and down the boardwalk? I know that there are certain times in-season and at some point late in the season you can bike at any time of the day.
Can you recommend a good place to rent bikes within walking distance of the inlet parking lot?
You can ride a bike on the boardwalk up to 11 am. Jo's Bikes is on 2nd street& the boardwalk.

We are visiying the week of August 15th to August 22nd can you recommend a fishing trip for my Hhusband
We always take our friends and family on the Judith M. a head boat which leaves twice daily from Fish Tales on 22nd street bay side for a schedule call them at 410-289-7438.
Fish Tales also offers rentals of small skiffs with motors and pontoon boats.
Also, you can check with M.R. Ducks they have charter boats for small parties. They are on Talbot st and the bay.

This link will have a full schedule of all surfing competitions and will also have a link to the summer surfing beaches. You can find locals just about anywhere in OC. They all have their favorite break spots. You can also catch some nice soft rolling waves over on Assateague.

What's there to do fourth of July weekend?
One of the best fireworks shows around! North Division Street & the Beach down town or Northside Park / 127th Street Uptown. Bring a blanket or a chair for the concert and fireworks. Family fun begins at 8 PM and fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 PM.

Im coming down Memorial Day weekend '09 with a friend. My companion is under 21. I am not. Is there anywhere that we can go to dance where we could both be admitted? Under 21 clubs won't let me in and he's not legal to be in an over 21 club.
The clubs are strict about underagers. Maybe if you get to Secrets early for dinner and stay for the band they might let him stay. But they probably won't let you in the dance club.

My husband and I are coming dow for the week before Labor Day. What are some good events to keep us occupied for the entire week?
oh that is a beautiful week. Just enjoy the beach and the many seafood buffets and great restaurants all over Ocean City, Md. Like rides?? or miniature golf? or the Shopping outlets and Seacrets Nightclub which opens for lunch. When you arrive check your hotel/motel lobby for coupon books and a list of events. Have a great time.
