A little more laid-back.
In North Ocean City, the pace is just a little bit slower. Condominiums are more common. But you're still within easy reach of restaurants, nightlife and all of OC's other attractions. The town's largest park, Northside Park, is in this area, offering a wide selection of fields and gyms available for rent, plus a paved jogging/walking path. You can also enjoy crabbing and fishing there. North Ocean City is home to first-run movie theaters and the Gold Coast Mall, which offers enclosed shopping all year round. So if you're looking for a quieter getaway that's still close to the action, look into North Ocean City.
Bayside. It's a different side of OC.
Bayside combines calm, sheltered bay waters with the fine food and nightlife Ocean City is famous for. Boats of all kinds – canoes, kayaks and personal watercraft – cruise the tranquil bay. Park your car – you probably won't need it. Oceanside is the area east of Baltimore Avenue and Coastal Highway, where you're usually 2 blocks or less from one of America's cleanest, most attractive beaches. Better still, you'll never pay a beach fee. Choose from a wide variety of hotels, summer rentals, motels or condos. There's something for every taste and budget.
