OC is just the beginning.

As exciting – and relaxing – as Ocean City, Maryland can be, there's even more to see and do within a very short drive. Below are directions to some favorite destinations:

oceancitymarylandsurroundingattractions.jpgAssateague Island: The famous wild horses, plus deer, otters, foxes, muskrats and 260 bird species, all on a wild, pristine beach. Take U.S. 50 west to MD 611/Stephen Decatur Highway. Turn left onto MD 611 and travel south 7.2 miles. Turn right (before bridge) into Visitors Center parking lot.

Salisbury: You'll find shopping, canoeing, fine wine and even minor-league baseball here in "The Crossroads of Delmarva." Take U.S. 50 west approximately 26 miles. For The Centre at Salisbury, take U.S. 13 north/U.S. 50 east towards Dover, then take Business U.S. 13/N. Salisbury Blvd. The Centre at Salisbury is on the right side of U.S. 13. (For The Ward Museum, The Zoo and Salisbury University), stay on Business U.S. 50 west, turn left onto Beaglin Park Drive and follow the signs.

oceancitymarylandsurroundingattractions2.jpgBerlin: A fascinating walking tour includes 47 homes listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Take U.S. 50 west to U.S. 113 south. Take the U.S. 113 south exit to Snow Hill and follow the signs to downtown Berlin.

Pocomoke City and Snow Hill: Outstanding fishing, historic homes and a big helping of art, shopping and history. Take U.S. 50 west to U.S. 113, and turn left onto U.S. 113.
