Rodney Atkins
Friday, September 19, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.
Country music’s Rodney Atkins captures every aspect of his life in his music. Since his debut album in 2003, Rodney has believed that country music is about life. “It’s about what people face every day. That’s what they want to hear in country music. And that’s what I draw on, what brought me here, every time I sing.”
His current album, “If You’re Going Through Hell,” Rodney explores many of the topics of life. With hit songs including, “If You’re Going Through Hell,” “Watching You” and “Cleaning This Gun,” he has proven the country music fans agree. With the hit “These are My People,” Rodney carries us to his past where he “grew up by the railroad tracks and shooting BBs at old beer cans.” Even with all of his recent country music nominations and success, he is still most comfortable in a John Deere t-shirt, jeans and work boots with a wild turkey or deer in his front yard.

The Commodores
Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.
For three decades, this Grammy Award winning group, The Commodores have remained a force in the music industry. Originally formed in 1968 at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama, they were discovered by none other than Motown founder Berry Gordy. Upon their arrival at Motown, the Commodores turned out hit after hit, including “Easy,” “Sail On,” “Three Times a Lady” and of course “Brick House.” They sold over 60 million records for Motown. But it wasn’t until the departure of band mate Lionel Richie did the Commodores achieve Grammy recognition with their multi-platinum song “Night Shift.”
Today, the Commodores are still touring successfully worldwide, have produced six new albums and created their own record label. With their strong foundation of talent and amazing staying power, The Commodores are alive and well in the new millennium.

Key West Band
Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.
The Key West Band made their Sunfest debut in 2006 with a large supply of Jimmy Buffett songs as well as Reggae, Creole and Latin. This band can turn any day into a high-energy Caribbean island party. The members of the Key West Band are sailors and divers who have lived and worked in Florida and the Caribbean, not a bunch of city-bound Caribbean wannabees. When the band finally takes a vacation you can expect to find them in the islands or living on a sailboat not only relaxing, but doing research for new band material.
