Things To Do:
One of the best boardwalks in America.
The Travel Channel calls our classic wooden boardwalk one of America's best. USA Today named it one of the nation's "Top 10 Great Boardwalks." In short, it's three miles of highly concentrated fun - and one more reason to get to OC ASAP.
S
tart your day on the Ocean City boardwalk with a morning bike ride. You can bring your own, or rent from one of our many bike shops. Or if you'd rather just sit back and ride, the boardwalk tram can whisk you anywhere in minutes, while you enjoy a beautiful ocean view.
Day or night, there's always something happening - and quite often, it's free. Take in an impromptu show by one of our street performers, or watch exotic kites soar skyward on the refreshing ocean breeze.
Amusements and arcades are fun for children of all ages. Catch a spectacular view from the top of our Ferris wheel. Scream with delight on our roller coaster, or savor the slower pace of our magnificent 1902 carousel.
Hungry? You won't be for long. Choose from famous Maryland crab cakes or delightful Delmarva fried chicken. Tear into a delicious cheeseburger, or savor a smoky pit barbecue. Fresh-baked pizza, or our famous French fries - with Ocean City dining, the menu is almost endless.
And that's before you get to dessert. There's luscious saltwater taffy, sweet caramel popcorn, thick creamy fudge, rich ice cream, fresh, hot funnel cakes, cotton candy and chocolate-covered strawberries.
After a boardwalk meal, you'll be ready to shop - and you'll find plenty of opportunities, not just on the boardwalk, but on many side streets as well. Check out Somerset Plaza, for example, featuring lots of stores, plus free internet access for everyone.
Up for some heroics? Relive the adventures of the U.S. Life-Saving Service, a predecessor of today's Coast Guard, at the meticulously restored Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum. Children love the Aquarium Room, featuring huge saltwater tanks with an ever-changing display of amazing sea creatures.
At night, the Ocean City, Maryland boardwalk fills with music and fun. During the summer, you'll find free family activities six on the beach nights a week, including concerts, bonfires, movies - even a beach Olympics!
And that's just the beginning. Experience one of America's best boardwalks for yourself. It's one more reason to get to OC ASAP.
