You Voted! 9 Must-Try Pizzas in OCMD

We asked our Instagram followers: “Where’s your favorite place to grab pizza in OCMD?” Here’s what you told us! Listed in no particular order, get ready to drool over these must-try pizzas:

1. Pizza Mambo

Locations: Downtown (8th St.) & Uptown (72nd St., Bayside)

What to order: Pizza Mambo is a top pick if you’re staying downtown OR uptown! We’ve been told their classic 16” Cheese Pizza is dream worthy, but check out their Pizza Bianca or Popeye specialty pies if you’re looking to switch it up.

With free delivery and locations open until 4 a.m, these ‘zas are certainly night owl approved.

2. Backshore Brewing Co.

Location: The Boardwalk @ 10th St.

What to order: Easy: pizza and beer. Check out their rotating menu of artisanal flatbread pizzas or classic staple: “Tony’s Pizza.”

You all recommended this pick for anybody who’s looking to wash down their pie with a longboard flight or their fave local craft beer on tap. Cheers to that!

3. Pizza Tugos

Locations: Downtown (18 St.), Uptown (116th St.), West OCMD (Rt. 50)

What to order: Delivery. Seriously! Pizza Tugos is Ocean City’s first pizza delivery shop, and has been offering “fast free delivery” since ‘83. When it comes to their craft menu, you told us “do The Godfather.” A pizza that’s packed with every meat topping you could want? Now that’s amore.

4. Fat Daddy’s

Location: Downtown (S. Baltimore Ave.)

What to order: According to our followers, this family owned restaurant is “even better than grandma’s cooking.” We won’t tell.

For an Italian pie with all of the works, you recommended the Garden Italian -- sauced with tomato pesto, topped with a variety of meat, like spicy capicola, and finished with an Italian dressing drizzle.

5. The Dough Roller

Locations: Boardwalk (3rd St., S. Division St.), Uptown (41st St., 70th St.)

What to order: Dubbed an “Ocean City tradition” and serving hand-tossed ‘zas for nearly 40 years, the better question would be “what not to order?”

Our followers recommended nearly everything on the menu, but were clear on one thing: you have to try the Pepperoni Obsessed pie, topped with their infamous crispy mini pepperonis. And we agree.

6. Seacrets

Location: 49th St., Bayside

What to order: At Seacrets, our followers tell us that the gorgeous bayside view and signature cocktails are almost as good as their Crab Toast “Pizza,” topped with jumbo lump crab meat. Are you drooling yet?

Take in the views with an order of Crab Toast or check out the Jamaican Pizza, made even more tropical when topped with Seacrets’ jerk chicken.

7. Johnny’s Pizza & Pub

Location: 56th St., Bayside

What to order: From a certified Maryland “foodie,” we’ve been told that Johnny’s best-selling Maryland Blue Crab Pizza, topped with crab imperial sauce and Old Bay seasoning, checks ALL of the East Coast flavor boxes.

8. Lombardi’s

Location: 94th St. Shopping Center (Bayside)

What to order: Pro tip: Get “Lombardi’s Famous White Pizza,” then finish the meal off with a Cannoli. You’re welcome.

9. Ripieno’s Italian Restaurant

Location: 32nd St., Bayside

What to order: Doesn’t matter, as long as you make it “monster sized.” In addition to their traditional 8” and 16” sizes, Ripieno’s serves up massive 28” wood-fired pizzas! You all recommended opting for a “Create Your Own” or checking out one of the signature pies, like the Margherita or Ratatouille.

Craving a classic go-to carryout option? Try Papa John’s (33rd St. Shopping Plaza) or Domino’s (64th St.)
