Are there soccer goals on the beach, and how clear is the sand from twigs and rocks?

Submitted by Tyller F, Frederick Maryland on November 6, 2017

The beach is always clear, it gets cleaned each night but there are no soccer goals. You can reserve the sports fields for soccer. Here is a link with more info:

What's the best time to surf?

Submitted by Maxwell W, Fredrick Maryland on November 7, 2017

Summer.  Just kidding.  But while OC gets some nice waves, usually when storms come up the coast you'll find the largest waves and the best times to surf.  Check the tide charts.  And here's a great source for daily beach info http://ococean.com/beach  Just click on any link.

Please remember that a wet suit is definitely needed now, and that there are no lifeguards on duty. NEVER surf alone.

I'll be purchasing a condo on December 1, and am looking for recommendations for a good property management company to handle rentals.

Submitted by Sarah C, Berwyn Heights Maryland on October 24, 2017

There are lots of great agents out there. You can find several agencies listed on OCOcean.com's accommodations page for rentals. I've worked Coldwell Banker as a renter and found them to be very responsive. I suspect they are also very good to work with as an owner.

Are there any wood sign stores in or around Ocean City, MD?

Submitted by Tracey C, Preston Maryland on October 24, 2017

There used to be a place called "Sign Craft" just off the boardwalk at Caroline Street. Their store is closed. You can try calling their number at 410.289.5658.

There is a store called "Treasure Island" in the Inlet Village at the south end of the boardwalk that sells lots of pre-made wooden signs. There are other stores in the Inlet Village that sell such signs too. The Kite Loft on the boardwalk at 5th Street also sells some wooden signs

I need to rent a dog stroller for a few days next week. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Submitted by Larrt J, Williamsport Maryland on October 24, 2017

Your best bet is to check with PMI Rentals at 126th Street. They have the broadest range of rental equipment in OC. If they don't have what you need, they may know someone who does. You can reach them at their website or at 800.320.7469 or by email at pmirentals@msn.com

When is the best time to visit Ocean City in the warm months, but still without the crowds?

Submitted by STACY H, HARTVILLE Ohio on October 13, 2017

The best time is from the day after Labor Day through the next two weeks - although anytime in September is great. In September the beach and water are still warm, the life guards are still on duty, almost all places are open, and the crowds and prices are down!

If you need tome come before kids go back to school, mid to late August is best.

A friend has some very old scopes and is looking for a way to print out the photos. Is there a way?

Submitted by Jen P, Bellmawr New Jersey on October 9, 2017

We tried to do this a two years ago so I could show my daughters my lovely head of hair and six-pack abs - from 1988.  We were not successful.  You can try a local "dvd-to-video transfer" store to see if technology has progressed.  We even talked to the manager of the scope store and he did not know of a way to do it.  If you find a way, please let me know.
