I'd like to renew my wedding vows on the beach. How would you recommend we go about doing that?

Congratulations!

What you need to do depends how elaborate you want to be. If you want something really simple and small you can just get an officiant, go out on the beach and do it. However, if there is more to it, I'd suggest contacting the Mayor's Office. To do a wedding on the beach you need to coordinate with them (there is no fee), so I'd imagine a renewal that has any size would require similar coordination. You can reach them at 410.289.8931. See this site for more info on beach weddings in OC.

If you need on official or other services to do the renewal, you may want to consider working with one of OC's wedding planning companies. They can offer you anything from just an officiant for the event to a full blown package. Here are some places that offer these services: Weddings by the Seashore 800.884.0026 Ocean City Wedding Pastor 410.603.9918 Beach Weddings by Rox 866.472.3012.

Have a great renewal of vows in OC

The answer is yes you can.  You must park in the designated spots only, so if they're taken you'll have to look elsewhere, but it is free to park as long as you wish. And if you wish to ride the shuttle from there the cost is $3 per person to ride all day.

If you have additional questions, you can call 1-410-723-1606.  They're very courteous to talk with.

I was thinking of coming down for 10 days on June 19th, but I'm worried the weather won't be hot enough. What has been your experience with vacationing in Ocean City during the month of June?

Joshua,

June is a great month in OC!  The weather is in the 80's and the lows are in the 60's.  It is plenty warm enough to go out on the beach.  The water is still in the upper 60's, but warming up.  The water only gets to about 74 - 76 at it peak, so you are close to the warm water highs.  June also tends to be dry, so there is not a lot of rain.

Any chance of getting a 2015 Vacation Guide sent to me, as I am staying in OC for 9 nights in Nov/Dec 2015? Thanks!

Yes, there are several guides available. Here are options for how to view a few online or request a copy of them:

Ocean City 2015 Vacation Guide published jointly by the City's Department of Tourism and Chamber of Commerce: Request Hardcopy here - View Online here

Sunny Day Guide - Request Hardcopy (fee) - View 2014 Guide online (free)

Visitors Guide - View Online

You can also get all kinds of information once you get to town form the Visitors Center at the south end of Convention Center at 40th Street.

I've checked the website for information regarding when rollerblading is permitted, and there is a black-out between Memorial Day and Labor Day with no hours listed. Is skating not permitted at all during that time? I will be coming to Ocean City from June 27th through July 4th and had hoped to roller skate the Boardwalk in the early AM hours before the crowds arrive.

The rules for rollerblading on the boardwalk are the same a the rules for bikes. Starting on 23 May, through Labor Day. These rules are: bikes and roller blades are permitted on the boardwalk from 2AM to 11AM everyday, and they are prohibited from 11AM to 2AM

No, they cannot. Dogs (except service animals) are not allowed on the boardwalk or the boardwalk tram during this time of year.

I do not think there is a particular guide in Spanish, however, some of the local businesses may have spanish translation available.

I'm bringing a group down by charter bus to the casino and beach on July 4th. I was wondering - how do we make arrangements for the bus to park so we can enjoy the fireworks?

Your best bet is parking at either the West Ocean City Park and Ride or the Convention Center.  At the West Ocean City you are closest to the inlet; the Convention Center is closed to the ones at North Side Park.
