As others have said, just be aware that many people do not like having them around.  If you do feed them, they prefer bread or other light colored food (french fries for example).  The birds really are amazing as they will catch food in the air.  Also make sure the pieces are small enough to be eaten right away.

We are staying at oceanfront villas and need additional week-long parking. Can you recommend any places to park?

Bob,

You can park at either the lot on 100th St. (for a fee)  or find normal street parking along bay side north of 3rd street.

Yes, on a leash, but only between October 1 to April 30. Dogs are not allowed on the beach anytime of the day or night during the summer season. If you want to take your leashed dog to a beach I suggest Homer Gudelsky Park in West O. It is a bay beach and is located on Old Bridge Rd. off of Golf Course Rd.

Stephanie,The Boardwalk never closes down.... it's open year round.  You'll find that Ocean City enjoys a "second season", not an "off season".  While the outdoor rides & boardwalk tram is done after Sunfest, most businesses (store merchants, restaurants, etc) stay open year round now........ they do limit their hours, and more of them seem to open especially on the weekends when the weather is nice, still... you'll find that the boardwalk is up and running year round!!!!

There are no hotels in OC where you can purchase such a pool pass. However, Ocean Pines sells daily passes to several of their pools including the Beach Club Pool at 49th Street. Cost for non Ocean Pines resident adults is $9/day and for non-resident kids (ages 5-17) is $7/day. Call 410.524.2979 to find out more about the Beach Club pool.

Our rental place doesn't have a pool. Is there somewhere we can take the kids to swim without having to go to the ocean?
