Can you rent umbrellas and chairs on the beach or do you have to bring your own?Submitted by Jessica F, London OH on July 15, 2019
You can rent them on the beach or bring your own. There are rental stands by the sand dunes about every 3 blocks.View all answers to this question (2) »
We are renewing our wedding vows on the beach on July 17th. Is there a company we can rent a tent or canopy from if the forecast is calling for rain?Submitted by Tammy R, Chambersburg PA on July 15, 2019
Try PMI Rentals. They rent just about everything! It has been very, very dry in OC this summer and they are calling for sunny skies on the 17th! You should be fine.
Congratulations!View all answers to this question (2) »
During the peak beach season, what is the all-day rate for parking in the Inlet? Is the credit/debit card parking system still being used? Let me know what the system is currently, and any helpful info. Thanks!Submitted by June K, York PA on July 15, 2019
What is the daily bus fare? How do I pay?Submitted by Despina R, Jarrettsville MD on July 15, 2019
What is the best airport to fly into to get to OCMD? What additional travel is required after the flight? I'm coming from the CVG Airport. Thanks!Submitted by Pamela Sue B, Florence KY on July 15, 2019
BWI is the easiest to fly into, but it is 2.25 hours from Ocean City. Salisbury (MD) Airport, code SBY, is a smaller airport and is about 30 minutes away. The Bayrunner Shuttle picks up at both airports and will drop you off in Ocean City. You can also rent a car at either airport. BWI will have many more flight options for you.View all answers to this question (2) »
Is there anywhere I can rent a cabana or canopy for the beach, rather than just umbrellas? If so, how much does this typically cost?Submitted by Ashley P, Front royal VA on July 15, 2019
You can only rent umbrellas and chairs on the beach, sorry, no cabanas or tents. You can bring a sun tent or a cabana. They are available at Sunsations, Roses and other beach shops for around $60.View all answers to this question (2) »

Does OC have cabanas that you can rent or just umbrellas? If so, any idea of the cost for a cabana?Submitted by Ashley P, Front royal VA on July 12, 2019
Open cabanas, pop up canopies, and umbrellas are all allowed on the beach in Ocean City. Umbrellas can be closer to the water than canopies and open cabanas. A minimum of 10-15 feet behind the lifeguard stands in order to not block anything. Make sure you anchor them securely with weights or long stakes. Those little stakes that come with them won't hold in wind, so you want to make sure they are secure or if it takes off you will be held responsible for injuring another guest.View all answers to this question (3) »
Years ago, there was a store on the Boardwalk with several books of logos and images that could be used to make custom stickers, auto decals, and clothing. Is that store still around? What's it called?Submitted by Nate H, Kearneysville WV on July 11, 2019
Many of the Tee-Shirt shops along the boardwalk offer one or more of these options. Just stroll the south end of the boards to see who has what you are looking for.View all answers to this question (2) »
I'm looking fro a photograph of Joe's Restaurant that was located in the pier building, facing west at the head of Wicomico St. I am a Reference Librarian at the OCMD Library, and a visitor requested it! She worked at the Restaurant in the 1950s and is currently writing her memoir. If anyone knows of anywhere we could get this, or happens to have the information on hand, that would be awesome!Submitted by Cher G, Ocean City MD on July 11, 2019
Hi Cher. I could not find any online. I would encourage her to look on eBay for a postcard of the restaurant. She could save a search with Joe's Restaurant Ocean City. Postcards come up all the time with historic photos of Ocean City.
We love the library by the way!View all answers to this question (1) »
