I'm bringing my boat to OC and have seen that boat trailer parking is regulated. The condo we will be staying in doesn't have a parking area that would be able to accommodate our trailer. What are some options for temporary boat trailer parking during a summer visit?

Hi Tim.  You have two options.  The first is to park your trailer in the lot at 100th Street - bay side, right next to the library.  This is paid parking by the week or day.  Your other option is to find a marina or storage lot that allows trailer parking.  I would call the marina where you plan on docking your boat and see what they offer.  Storage places also offer parking for trailers.

We are going to Ocean City for a short stay. We were wondering what time things generally open on the boardwalk? We also wanted to know if there's a great place to eat breakfast along the boardwalk. Thanks!

Generally things start opening around 8 am. By 10 am the boardwalk stores are all open.

For a breakfast on the boards try the Frog Bar or the Dough Roller.

How does the 'no dogs on the boardwalk rule (from May 1st to September)' account for service animals? I'm referring to obviously marked service animals/emotional support animals who have documentation.

Service animals such as Seeing Eye dogs are as always permitted in all locations by law. If you have an emotional support animal and you are not sure if they are allowed I suggest you contact City Hall M-F from 8 am to 5 pm.

I would like to throw a party on the beach for my girlfriend's 50th birthday. Is there a place I can do this? If so, what rules/town ordinances must I follow to throw my party?

You are not permitted to have alcohol, glass bottles, etc. on the beach, and you are not allowed to build fires or sleep on the beach, and there are noise ordinances. My best advice to  you is to contact a party planner that can arrange any permits you will need for this.  Check with the event planner at the Clarion Hotel on 101st St, or even Rox Beach Weddings  https://www.roxbeachweddings.com/

I want to visit OCMD for the day to walk along the boardwalk. I need information regarding parking. -Where should I look for parking? -Is parking metered?  -If so, can I pay for the parking meters with a credit card, or do I need to come prepared with quarters?

First, there is free street parking on the Bayside on streets higher than 3rd street.  For all the parking information, click here: https://oceancitymd.gov/oc/parking-ocean-city-just-got-easier-pay-by-plate-parking-begins-april-1/

Hi Billy.  For fishing try the Oceanic Pier - http://oceanicpier.com/.  It is an easy and flat commute from the inlet parking lot.  For more information on beach access, look here: https://oceancitymd.gov/oc/city-hall/americans-with-disabilities/

Ocean City is very handicap accessible.

Hello! I'm looking to book a cleaning service for my beach rental. Is there anyone you would recommend? Specifically, I need assistance with the patio and bathroom.

Are "bait blasters" allowed for surf fishing in OCMD? I know these have been used in Assateague Island, but I wanted to double check on OCMD rules before using it.

They are not allowed in Maryland, neither is rowing your bait out on a kayak or other boat.  All bait must be manually cast from shore.  I would call DNR though - If you have any questions regarding Maryland’s sport fishing license or other requirements, you may contact Fisheries Service via e mail: customerservice@dnr.state.md.us or by calling 410-656-9526.

I’ll be starting a week in Ocean City and we will be cooking food to save some money. At the end of my stay, I'm hoping to donate any leftover groceries to a nearby organization. Are there any local food banks or places to donate extra food?

It is $4 to go across the Bay Bridge.  I would take 70 to 695 to 50.  That is the shortest route and the least expensive as well.  Call 1-877-BAY-SPAN to get current Bay Bridge traffic.
