We'll be arriving in OCMD on July 28th and are hoping to get discounted passes to Jolly Roger Amusement Pier. Any additional info or suggestions on promotions/discounts are greatly appreciated. Thanks!Submitted by Mel D, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania on July 11, 2018
Jolly Roger does not run a lot of discounts. Generally uou can get the best prices by buying their tickets and passes from their online site.View all answers to this question (5) »
Where in OCMD can I buy books? I'm looking in particular for religious books. I'll be staying on 115th St, so preferably something near there.Submitted by Wayne F, Dudley Pennsylvania on July 11, 2018
There are not many bookstores left open in OC. The only one I know of is Down Under books which is located below the Lankford Hotel at 8th Street on the boardwalk. Unfortunately, that is not too close to 115th Street.

When does the season close for most local businesses? I'm interested in walking the boardwalk from end to end.Submitted by Tami O, Steilacoom Washington on July 11, 2018
Businesses on the boardwalk and around town start closing after Labor Day, but most remain open everyday until Columbus Day. After that many are still open, at least on weekends, and often remain on limited schedules year round. Even in January, on a sunny Saturday you can find many businesses around town open.
You can walk the boardwalk end-to-end anytime all year. It is a 4.5 mile round trip. Be sure to touch the spot on each end!

I'm working at a restaurant near the Boardwalk. Where and when would I be able to use my personal paddle board?Submitted by Lindsay P, Centreville Virginia on July 10, 2018
I live in Centreville too!
You can use your paddle board in the bay at any time, and you can use it in the ocean when before 10am and after 5:30pm, when the lifeguards are off duty. You can easily access the bay at Northside Park (125) or at the boat ramp at 64th Street (plus at the west end of several side streets).View all answers to this question (2) »
Hi! My family is considering moving to OCMD permanently. We need to know how highly rated the local public schools are for kids with special needs. We would need special attention for autism and fetal alcohol syndrome. This might include ABA Therapy, PT, OT & Speech therapy. Any information is helpful!Submitted by Mary G, DC Virginia on July 10, 2018
Ocean City Elementary school has been one of the top rated schools in Maryland. I've also consistently heard good things about Stephen Decatur High School. I'd suggest reaching out to the specific schools and talking to their administration to find out more about the particular programs your family needs as such programs can vary significantly between schools in the same system.View all answers to this question (3) »

Where's the best place to watch the World Cup in OCMD?Submitted by Paul C, UK Maryland on July 10, 2018
Hey Paul, Karl mentioned a great spot but I know Bull on the Beach on 94th street shows the World Cup I was there in 2014 when they showed it and had specials during the game, the Green Turtle, and Buxy's as well. So give those a try and route for your favorite team!!!View all answers to this question (4) »
