My family went to OC for several Thanksgivings (we only stopped going once our kids wnet to college because they wanted to stay home to see their friends). You can find plenty of fn things to do. Here are some ideas:

The boardwalk is open all year. Boardwalk favorites  Thrasher's Fries, Dumser's ice cream, Fisher's popcorn (my favorite!), Candy Kitchen are often open if the weather is decent. Dumser's in West OC is open everyday all year, so sometimes we go there for a treat during the week.

Go to an Arcade - Marty's Playland is open everyday!

Take a trip down to Assateague. It is only about a 15 minute drive. There is a great Visitor's Center on the right. It has lots of great interactive and touch-type exhibits, and a few short interesting movies about Assateague. You can drive a fair distance on Assateague before entering the fee area and I almost always see the horses in the free area. There are some great short easy hikes in the fee area that you may want to consider if the weather is nice.

Go visit the Art League Gallery at 94th Street. They are open everyday. It's a quick visit, but they have interesting exhibits that change monthly. I go there almost every time I am in OC.

Get some crabs from Crabs-to-Go to feel a bit more like summer. They have excellent crabs year round.

Play indoor mini golf at one of the two Old Pro Indoor Courses or one of their outdoor courses. They are open everyday at their locations on 68th Street and 136th Street from 10am to 10pm.

Checkout Winterfest of Lights at Northside Park at 125th Street.

Go Ice Skating or see an ice skating show at the Carousel.

Play Laser Tag at Planet Maze (410.524.4386). They usually closed on weekday, but open on weekends.

Go bowling at 72nd Street Ocean Lanes. They are open everyday. Call ahead to check for lane availability (410.524.7550), and be aware, they take cash only.We often go bowling their the day before Thanksgiving.

Go see a movie.

Checkout the interesting shops in nearby Berlin.

Go to the Salisbury Zoo - It is about 30 miles away. It is a nice community zoo, and it is free!

Take a drive to the Delmarva Discovery Center (410.957.9933) to learn about the area's natural and cultural history. It is about 40 miles from OC.

If you like history and it is a nice day, consider a drive up to Fort Miles in Lewis Delaware to see the restored Coastal Defenses and go up in one of the Fire Control Towers for a spectacular view. While you are there, you can shop at the nearby Rehoboth Tanger outlets.

I always recommend staying at a place with an indoor pool in the off season - That way if the weather is poor, you can still enjoy some time in the pool!

Have a great time in OC this November!

Hey Dana, the Winterfest of Lights open Thanksgiving weekend. It's so nice and what a wonderful way to usher in the Christmas season. Definitely check that out I have and you'll love it.

Karl gave you a great list!  The Winterfest of Lights also open that weekend.  It is fun to see the town decked out for Christmas.  You can also check out Berlin, MD.  That is a nice small town about 20 minutes from Ocean City.
