Hi, Insiders! I'm looking for two different recommendations. I'll be traveling to OCMD this Friday for the weekend. 1) I'm not sure what's open this time of year, but I would love recommendations on places to eat. We love places like Big Pecker's, De Lazy Lizard, Dead Freddie's & Fish Tales. 2) I need recommendations on where to park for the Boardwalk as close to it as possible, since I see the Inlet Lot is closed for the season! As always, thanks so much for your help and I hope everyone is having/has had a wonderful holiday!

First, the inlet parking lot is not actually closed for the season - it's payment stations are closed, so you can park there for free! If for some odd reason it is not open - like some major maintenance thing I'm unaware of, there is a parking lot one block off the boardwalk between Worcester Street and South Division Street. It will have plenty of parking at this time of year.

For places to eat, Big Peckers,is open everyday, and Dead Freddies is open on weekends (Thursday 4pm - Sunday). Seacrets is also open at least on weekends and is a nice casual atmosphere at this time of year with good food. Some other places you might like are Longboard Cafe (67th Street, open everyday), the Reel Inn (near the bay in Harbor Island at 14th Street - I am almost sure they are open all year, but call ahead to check), and Harborside (West OC at the commercial harbor). BJs on the Water at 75th Street on the bay is also a solid choice and is open everyday. Their menu has a broad mix of food from casual sandwiches and salads to nice entrees.

Have a great time in OC! Stay warm!

Big Peckers, Fagers Island, BJ and Seacrets are open. Hooked and Just Hooked are open as well - both are excellent!

The inlet parking lot is open and it is free to park there during the winter.  Here is a webcam of the parking lot.  http://www.wboc.com/category/271400/ocean-city-cam

I think you would enjoy the Green Turtle in comparison of the restaurants you listed. They have great food and I highly recommend the buffalo chicken nachos.

There are two location in Ocean City 116 Coastal Hwy and 1916 Stephan Decatur Hwy.

Enjoy your weekend.

HI Christy as the other insiders mentioned the inlet parking maybe closed for paid parking but you can park there this time of year for FREE!!! Go to Marty's Playland all you want all day!!! they are open year round plus two indoor Old Pro Golf's!!!! as far as restraunt choices Clarion always has great dinner buffets you can check them out as another suggestion. Dumsers on 48th is always open year round and they have great food but the ice cream of course is out of this world. Be sure also to check out Winterfest of Lights at Northside Park. i wish you and yours a very happy holiday season.
