Hi there! I'm intersted in biking or walking in the wildlife refuge. Any information or suggestions?

Karl gave you great advice.  I believe the only place you can bike through is at Assateague.  Assateague is an easy ride as it is level with good lines of sight.  The other places listed are walking only.  You can also stroll through Northside Park and see local birds and marine life.

There are no wildlife refuges in the immediate OC area, but there are some great places to enjoy nature and a refuge about 75 minutes from OC. Here are some suggestions:

Head 20 minutes south on Route 611 to Assatague National Seashore or State Park. There are several great hikes in the National Park area and you can bike in the bike lane along the main road (maybe other areas too). Look at the National Seashore and State Park links and stop at the Vistors Center on the right before crossing the bridge over to Assateague Island to get more info.

It is small, but the Isle of Wight recreation Area has a pier and is a nice area to breifly explore. It is located between the two Route 90 bridges on the south side of Route 90.

If you want to try something different, take a kayak trip in the Coastal Bays. I've been out several times with Assateague Outfitters (410.656.9453). They do a great job and the trips are a lot of fun. Plus, you will see the famous Assateague wild horses! No experience required. I've been out with people from age 8 (he was fine in his Dad's kayak, and the 10-year-old was fine in his own kayak) to age 70 and everyone had a great time! I was out one year in mid-April and it was plenty warm enough for one of these trips. Since the bay is rarely more than a couple of feet deep, it warms up quickly.

Check out some local outfitters to see if you can take a tour of the Coastal Bays or Great Cypress Swamp that is about 30 miles from OC.

About 75 minutes from OC is the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. This 27,000 acre refuge is on the marshes along the eastern shore of the Cheaspeake Bay and is about 12 miles from Cambridge.

Terri, there isn't a whole lot of wildlife or nature trails in Ocean City. But two places I think you'll like is Assateague Island and a small area heading west off Rt 90 (St. Martins Neck Road) called Isle of Wright boat Launch.
