What are the rules regarding service dogs on the beach? I have a small service dog who is registered with ESA, tags, and papers for proof -- could I bring him with me to the beach during the summer season?

ADA-approved service animals are allowed on the beach or boardwalk at any time. Non-ADA approved service animals are not allowed between 1 May and 30 September.  Emotional Support Animals (ESA) are not generally considered ADA-Approved Service Animals (but your case might be different - take a look at your paperwork), and thus are not allowed on the beach and boardwalk from 1 May to 30 September.

You can also contact the city's ADA Committee to see if your specific case qualifies.
