What are some tips you have when visiting Ocean City?Submitted by Ryan F, Baltimore MD on January 6, 2020
Relax. Don't try to do too much. Spend your days on the beach. When going to dinner, try to arrive 4:30-5pm to avoid long waits. Eat breakfast out, someplace cheap like McDonalds or a local place. pack a lunch and eat dinner out. the boardwalk is the busiest at night. Try it during the day. grab the coupon books and use those coupons to save money at attractions, stores, and restaurants.
hey ryan, my tips are to have a great time and make sure you have some sort of budget set aside for OC. there are plenty of ways to have a good time. like instead of driving, using the bus for $3 (2020) good all day is a great way to save.
Don't try to do too many things in one day! Take time to relax and enjoy the beach and the boardwalk. Also, take advantage of all the coupon books that you can find throughout town.
My tips really depend on when you are coming, what your interests are, and the demographics of the group you are travelling with. My more general tips are:
- Check the OCOcean Events page to see what is going on when you plan to be in OC.
- Once you get into town, be sure to stop at the Visitor's Center at the south end of the Conventions Center at 40th Street to get lots of guide books, information, coupons, and deals.
My tips are some cash saving ideas during the summer.
I try to pack lunches and stay on the beach as long as I can. As enjoying the waves and sun don't cost a thing. Hit the buffets early as few give early bird discounts. Look for daily food specials in the OC Today paper.
Take advantage of the coupons in your hotels lobby for go-carts and mini golf.
My biggest tips are to try and spend time at the beach, the Boardwalk and in the great restaurants in Ocean City. Allow yourself time to enjoy a day on the sand watching the tide roll in. Walk the Boardwalk during the day and then again at night. Ocean City has lots of fun and great restaurants, give them a try. Seacrets, BJ's, Fager's Island and the Hobbit are some popular eateries. Don't be afraid to try something new as well. And most of all, eat some crabs!
Another tip is to try and visit in all four seasons! Then you can really say you are an OC expert!
