Will a lot of stores be open during spring break from Sat., 3/28/15 - Sat., 4/5/15? I'm looking for something a young teens can do on the boardwalk.Submitted by Ashley D, Davidsonville Maryland on March 24, 2015
At this point in the season it is hit or miss - even during Spring Break. Several stores - Fishers, Candy Kitchen, the arcades, Thrashers - are open all year long. In April, many stores will usually open on the weekend and during the week if it is warm. We were on the Boardwalk two weeks ago and found about 10% of the stores open. I would go for a stroll and see what is open. I am sure something interesting will be open.
Like my fellow insiders wrote store/shops that are open is a hit or miss. But don't let that detour your fun.
Besides boardwalk strolling there is
Gold Coast Mall
Planet Maze or indoor golf
Catch a movie
Not a lot, but some since that also runs into Easter weekend..........and depending upon the weather. Marty's Playland arcade will most likely be open, but not as many during the week. You can probably find a bicycle shop open for rentals like Dandy Don's on 12th St. The outlets will be open, along with the movie theaters. There are two indoor mini golf courses on 68th and 136th Streets, and Planet Maze should be open at least on the weekends for laser tag on 30th St. And Ocean City also has a bowling alley, and indoor ice skating at the Carousel Hotel on 118th St.
hi ashley, some will be open but i think they would like planet maze on 33rd street which is a lot of fun laser tag and mini golf. or even check out the carousel on 117th with an indoor ice skating rink.
During the week, it will still be limited when looking for places to be open. The Playland Arcade should be open. Also Planter Maze Maze on 33rd may be open. If the kids like mini golf as my family does, check out Old Pro Mini Golf on 68th and 136th St. They have indoor and outdoor locations as well as arcades inside.
I have often been in OC for Spring Break around this tie of year. Yes, amny of the stores will be open, more on weekends (~70%) and less on weekdays (~40%)
