Balloon Glow
Eight Hot Air Balloons. One Unforgettable Backdrop.
Enjoy the magic of eight hot air balloons lighting up the Boardwalk! The event will feature four whimsical, special shape balloons and four traditional teardrop styles tethered & illuminated. This static glow experience offers a rare chance to see the full-on glow of tall and radiant hot air balloons up close! They will begin inflating at 4pm.
Please note: This event will not include hot air balloon rides; it is a viewing experience.
Monster Kites
Whimsical Shapes Soaring High Above the Sand
Glance toward the sky to take in the view of a giant kite exhibition! Just north of the balloon display, ten massive "monster show kites" will add a fun spectacle to the beach. Monster kites will begin flying at 4pm.
Laser Show
A Sky Full of Light, Music, and Movement
Each night at 8:30pm, a laser show will fill the sky with movement. Beams will also play across the balloons, creating a high-energy contrast to the stillness of the balloon glow. It’s a one-hour show, built to be seen from the sand! Bring your beach chairs!

A: Admission is completely FREE for all attendees.
Q: Are there balloon rides or flights?
A: No — this event will feature a balloon glow only. Balloons will remain grounded for lighting displays and photo opportunities.
Q: What is the kite show?
A: Watch massive show kites take to the sky throughout the day (weather permitting). These colorful giants make for incredible photo ops along the boardwalk.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Only service animals are permitted.
Q: Is there a cost for parking?
A: Public parking is available throughout Ocean City. Standard city parking rates apply.
Q: Can I re-enter the event if I leave?
A: Yes, re-entry is allowed.

A: Balloon inflation is weather dependent. Balloons will not be inflated in the following conditions:
- Winds exceeding 12–14 MPH
- Rain or storms in the immediate area
- If weather is favorable, inflation typically begins before sunset so they’re glowing at dusk.

A: The event is rain or shine. If weather prevents balloon inflation or kite flying, the laser show will still take place.

A: Yes, the boardwalk is accessible for all guests.
