Beach Tennis - Try It! Workshop

Dive into our drop-in Beach Tennis Try It Workshop! Immerse yourself in the rules, enjoy hitting with family and friends, stay active and in shape, all while embracing the excitement of trying something new. Join us for a dynamic and engaging experience on the sandy shores.

Beach Tractor Rides

Create unforgettable family moments at Sunfest with our beach tractor rides. Let Ocean City's beach heroes guide you along the shoreline, soaking in ocean vistas, the lively boardwalk ambiance, and the symphony of seagulls. Experience this unique adventure for $5/person and cherish the memories forever.

Turtles on the Boardwalk

A large bale of Turtles will be in Ocean City for Sunfest, Oct 19-22. Kids, come join the hunt. Find all of their hiding places and win your own stufffed turtle. Visit the ShoreCraftBeer Garden at Sunfest, the Halloween Maze (N. Division St.) or any participating merchant for a game card. Return card to the ShoreCraftBeer Garden to claim your prize. The first 100 participants to complete the hunt also receive a $5 Power Card to Fun City or Sportsland Arcade. Participating merchants: Beachology, Doggie Style, Dough Roller at South Division, Fun City, Kite Loft, OC Life Saving Station Museum, Park Place Hotel, Shenanigan's, Somerset Jewelers, Souvenir City, Sportland, Trimper Sweets, Wockenfuss Candies.

Sunray Bicycle Sprint Race

Push those peddles harder and faster against the clock. The Sprint race offers two distances: 200 Meters for ages 15 and over and 50 Meters for our younger competitive riders. Two riders will dash north on the Boardwalk from the Amusement Pier to Talbot Street with awards for best times given at the end. Check-in and practice heats begin at 8:30am with competitive runs from 10:00am to 12:30pm. [No power-assisted bicycles]

Beachin' Bikes Show-N-Shine & Swap Meet

Sunfest’s Bicycle Show-N-Shine & Swap Meet offers two opportunities to showcase your wares. Bring your vintage, modern or custom bikes to show and participate in judging – AND – show, sell or trade bicycle-related products and parts. Bike event at Sunfest takes place from 10:00am to 5:30pm. Judging will take place from 2:30pm to 5:00pm with awards presented prior to 5:30pm.

Space is limited and requests are not guaranteed. Event is subject to weather. Additional information will be provided closer to the event related to load-in and load-out times and procedures. There is no fee to participate.

Casual Pet Competitions

No formal training needed - just have fun with your pet! Competitions include, Most Tail wags in 60 seconds, Ball Catch, and Consecutive Treat Toss . Sign up on-line to reserve your spot; registration on site available if space is available.

Dock Dogs National Point Competition

Extreme speed and big air come to Sunfest for three days of jumping, retrieving and sopping wet Olympian dogs with Dock Dogs National Point Competition! Each dog/handler competition team competes head-to-head to see who can jump the furthest (not the handler, the dog), swim the fastest and leap the highest. It’s the real deal with seasoned competitors competing for real season points and positioning toward the championships.

Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade and Pageant

Octoberfest’s most popular event is back at Sunfest ‘23! Join the fun with your furry friend! Bring your pet and your costume creativity to compete for prizes (you can even dress up too!). Parade along the boardwalk with activities around N. Division Street. Registration available online and on-site.

Weave Poles and Agility Course

Focus your furry friend for this one. Let’s see how well you dog knows your commands - it’s pure concentration as you navigate your pet through a course of obstacles where time and touch matters. Register on-line. Space will be limited. Prizes awarded for multiple categories.

Halloween Events & More

Great Pumpkin Race

It’s a spooky take on Pine Wood Derby. Grab your pumpkin and your wheels of choice for a downhill race unlike anything you’ve ever seen on the eastern shore. Decor matters for some and competitive builders work magic to squeeze out that last drop of speed juice. Register to race and enjoy the side-by-side racing as a spectator. It’s fun no matter where you choose to enjoy the experience from. Awards will be given out. Participants should register on-line but can join in on-site. North Division Street pit area opens at 11:30am

OC Jeep Club Drive in Disguise & Trunk or Treat

The Ocean City Jeep Club brings a new take on Ocean City’s Drive in Disguise with a drive down the beach from 30th Street to the Amusement Pier. Four Wheel Drives dressed for a scare will parade along the historic Boardwalk for all to enjoy on their way south to form up for a trunk or treat - Ocean City style! Bring your kids of all ages in costume for candy galore. The parade moves southward beginning at 3:00pm with a Halloween treat lollapalooza starting around 4:00pm. All are invited to watch the parade and take in the trunk or treat festivities!

Saturday Evening Beach Bonfire & Fireworks

As the sun sets, Ocean City's Sunfest comes alive. Gather on the beach for a cozy bonfire, followed by dazzling fireworks, creating a magical family-friendly evening.
